addicting vanilla bean pudding

This recipe will make you moan it's so good. I think the best part is it's so easy! This is a vanilla pudding you can add your special touch to. I have layered it with Chocolate pudding and I also made it with a layer of bananas and crushed chocolate graham crackers. Play with this one! "Yumbo".

Ingredients For addicting vanilla bean pudding

  • 2 c
    milk (whole or 2%,)
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 stick
    fresh vanilla bean
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp
    real unsalted butter

How To Make addicting vanilla bean pudding

    In a bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Whisk extremely well.

    In medium saucepan, over medium heat, warm your milk until bubbles form at edges.

    Sprinkle sugar mixture and vanilla bean a little at a time into hot milk (whisking constantly). Continue to cook over medium heat and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Do not boil.

    Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract plus your butter. Pour into serving dishes. Chill before serving. I added banana slices in the middle of my dishes plus put in some crushed chocolate graham crackers on the bottom before pouring in the goods! Oh yea....MMMMmmmm mmm
