Ingredients For sweet potato pie

3 cups mashed sweet potatoes (louisiana sweet potatoes, if available)

1 egg
-
2 t. butter, melted

1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar

1/8 t. cinnamon
-
1/8 t. nutmeg
-
dash salt
-
1/2 to 3/4 cup cream

1/2 t. lemon juice
-
2 t. vanilla extract
-
1 unbaked nine inch pie shell
How To Make sweet potato pie

1Mix the mashed sweet potatoes, egg, butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, cream, lemon juice and vanilla in mixing bowl. Mix well. Beat for 5 minutes. Pour into the pie shell. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes or until set. Serve with ice cream or fresh whipped cream if desired. Serves 6 to 8
