I had an extra crust left from the weekend, so this delicious dessert is how I decided to use it.

Ingredients For ~ punkin pan pie ~

  • 1
    homemade pie crust
  • 1 c
    canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    milk

How To Make ~ punkin pan pie ~

    Preheat oven to 400 degree. Pat out your crust into a 9x13 baking dish, up the sides about 1 inch. Double a piece of foil and place over dough and bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until turning golden around the edges. Remove from oven and set aside.

    In a bowl, whisk together pumpkin, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add the milk and eggs and blend well.

    Pour over crust and bake for 20 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool, cut and serve with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. yummy. Note: This dessert is not thick, if you desire a thicker filling, double the filling ingredients and add more time for baking.
