I'm sure a lot of you have already tried this recipe but for those of you who haven't, you might find this recipe interesting if not amazing!

Ingredients For mock apple pie

2 cwater
-
3/4 cgranulated sugar

2 tspcream of tartar
-
30ritz crackers
-
1unbaked pie shell
-
1 Tbsplemon juice
-
1 tspground cinnamon
- FOR CRUMB TOPPING:

1 cfinely rolled ritz crackers (into crumbs) approx: 25 crackers

1/2 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

1/3 cmelted marg or butter
-
1/2 tspground cinnamon
How To Make mock apple pie

1Combine water, sugar and cream of tartar in medium saucepan and bring to a boil.

2Drop Whole Ritz Crackers into the saucepan and DO NOT STIR but gently push the crackers under the boiled mixture and simmer for 5 minutes.

3Pour into the uncooked pie shell. Sprinkle lemon juice and cinnamon on top.

4Combine finely rolled Ritz Crackers, brown sugar, melted marg or butter and cinnamon. Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of pie.

5Bake at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes then reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F. and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
