Every time I visited my granny Witt she would always make this for me. She new it was my favorite. Now I make this for my kids and they love it to.

sugar
1/2 c

cocoa
1/3 c

corn starch
3 c

milk
2 Tbsp

butter
1 tsp

vanilla
cooked pie shell
whipped topping

How To Make granny's chocolate pie

Mix sugar, cocoa, and cornstarch together in a medium sized pot.Add milk and cook on medium heat. Stirring constantly.(this step is very important)

When mixture starts to boil and becomes thick remove from stove. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Let cool in refridgerator for an hour.

Add whipped cream on top.
