The inspiration for this pie came from Momofuku's Milk Bar's crack pie. I wanted to do something similar, but with chocolate.

How To Make addiction pie

  • 1
For the Crust: In food processor, add walnuts and cookies, then grind until crumbly (does not have to be super fine) Slowly drizzle butter, until dough begins to form and pull from sides. Using a ten inch pie pan or springform pan, press dough into bottom and up the sides of pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.

The Filling: In mixing bowl, combine sugar and cocoa powder. Beat eggs, then add to the sugar mixture. Beat in milk, butter and vanilla.
  • 3
Pour the mixture over pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until set. Middle of pie should be somewhat jiggly, but not liquid. Let pie cool completely before slicing. (I usually sit it in the fridge overnight)

Serve with fresh whipped cream and berries on the side. This pie is very rich, so I usually make the slices pretty narrow. A little goes a long way.
