Ingredients For easy caramel floats

  • root beer, for filling the glass
  • 4 scoop
    vanilla ice cream
  • CARAMEL SAUCE:
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    bourbon
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make easy caramel floats

  • 1
    Bring sugar and lemon juice to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to desolve sugar. Continue to cook, swirling the pan but not stirring, until amber.

    Remove from heat and carefully stir in heavy cream and bourbon. Return to heat and whisk until smooth; swirl in butter.

    Put 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream in each glass and fill with root beer; drizzle with the caramel sauce.
