An easy frozen dessert that benefits from the texture and flavor of pineapple. This dessert can be made year round, as you can use canned or fresh pineapple.

Ingredients For crushed pineapple sherbet

  • 2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 can
    (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar

How To Make crushed pineapple sherbet

    In a bowl, combine all ingredients; stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a 9-inch square pan. Cover and freeze for 1-1/2 hours or until mixture begins to harden. Stir and return to freezer. Freeze 3 to 4 hours longer, stirring occasionally, until firm. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving.
