Ingredients For slow-cooked praline apple crisp

  • 6 md
    crisp tart apples, peeled & sliced (about 6 cups)
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    toffee bits

How To Make slow-cooked praline apple crisp

  • 1
    Spray 3-4 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix apples and cinnamon to coat. Place in the slow cooker. In a medium bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour and butter with pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Stir in pecans and toffee bits. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over apples. Cover and cook on low setting for 4 to 6 hours. Serve with ice cream. 10 servings (1/2 cup each)
