I, myself, have not made this, but have eaten it. This recipe and these amounts serve about 100 people. This is quick,& easy to prepare and very tasty. As I have never made this myself, I dont know, but I am almost positive that substitutions can be made, maybe substitute fruit cocktail for mandarin oranges. Let imagination fly. Hope some one can use this.

Ingredients For quick fruit salad

  • 10 cans
    20 oz each, pineapple chunks, drained
  • 10 cans
    21 oz each, peach pie filling
  • 10 cans
    11 oz each, mandarin oranges, drained
  • 5 cups
    each red and green marischino cherries, drained
  • 10 cups
    sliced bananas, add bananas last

How To Make quick fruit salad

    Combine all ingredients, except bananas. Chill until ready to serve. Cover and refrigerate.

    Just before serving, fold in bananas. Serve with dollop of whipped topping.

    This recipe seems very forgiving. As I said, I believe it would be fine to make substitutions or to add different items.
