This recipe is so rich. Some people call it pink stuff, but I call it Heaven in a Bowl because it is so good. I found it in an old cookbook, that I bought at a garage sale. The book was published as a fundraiser for a Boy Scout Troop. It puts together fast and presents very well. I've made this for Church Potlucks, Thanksgiving and Reunions. You can play around a bit with the ingredients but not too much. I don't usually add nuts because my children never liked them.

How To Make heaven in a bowl

  • 1
The Directions are so simple: gather all the ingredients together, find a nice pretty bowl to put it in, but don't mix in that...wait.
  • 2
Add all ingredients except for 1/4 cup coconut and maraschino cherries, folding gently after each ingredient. Once it has blended well, take a spatula and scoop it out of the mixing bowl into the serving dish. Sprinkle with remaining coconut and decorate with maraschino cherries. This part is very important. Do NOT eat any of it! You won't be able to stop!
