I learned to cook by watching my mother who seldom used a recipe. This is one of those that I normally do the same way but today I measured after I poured to get it down on paper. This was a family favorite when I was a kid and is still one in my home today some (um) decades later.

Ingredients For fresh peach and blueberry cobbler

  • 3 lb
    sliced peaches (i make with skins on)
  • 1/2 c
    fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    lemone juice
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • COBBLER TOPPING
  • 2 c
    bisquick
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    milk ( enough to make a drop biscuit)
  • 1 tsp
    sugar

How To Make fresh peach and blueberry cobbler

    Preheat oven to 350' Pit washed peaches and slice into a large bowl. (I weigh them once the pit is removed). Arrange in a 9x13 glass cake pan.

    Sprinkle lemon juice over the top of peaches. Drop washed blueberries around over the peaches. Dot with butter. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top of fruit.

    Drop sweet biscuit dough over the top of fruit and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 30 minutes or until biscuits are done. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. We like this as is or with ice cream or whipped topping.
