I have made this recipe since the early 60's. A Very Easy recipe, I made it often as My children were growing up. This was a FAMILY FAVORITE. It doesn't have Oats in it. You can use Peaches or other fruits as well as Blueberries.

Ingredients For budget apple crisp by freda

  • MIX THE FOLLOWING 4 INGREDIENTS TOGETHER
  • 1 Cup
    flour
  • 1 Cup
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 Tbs
    cinnamon
  • ADD 1 EGG & STIR UNTIL CRUMBLY
  • 6-8
    large apples, peeled and sliced, or desired fruit
  • 1/4 cup
    melted butter

How To Make budget apple crisp by freda

    Preheat Oven @ 350. Grease a 7X11 pan. Follow directions as above for the crumbly topping. Set aside.

    Peel and slice Apples. Cover bottom of 7X11 pan with apples. Then spread crumbly mixture over apples Melt 1/4 C Butter. Drizzle over top of entire dish.

    Bake @ 350 for 40 min. Serve Hot with Ice Cream, or Whipped Cream. . .!!
