My hubby bought a bag of green apples and they were so sour. I thought i should try something to make with these apples, I used the ingredients I had on hand, this came out and was not bad at all for someone who is not a baker.

Ingredients For apple crisp

  • 3 c
    sliced peeled green apple
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    apple cider
  • 1 1/2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 1/3 c
    milk

How To Make apple crisp

  • 1
    Pre heat over 350 degrees, layer half the apples in a small rectangular baking dish
  • 2
    Sprinkle 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tbsp of sugar over the first layer of apples
  • 3
    layer the remaining apples sprinkle the remaining cinnamon and sugar over the apples
  • 4
    pour the apple cider over the apples in the dish and place small pieces of 1 tbls of butter around the apples
  • 5
    melt one stick of butter, add the butter, milk to the bisquick mix, stir until a batter is made, spoon the batter over the apples

    bake for 50 - 55 mins, serve warm with some vanilla ice cream
