These are really good and super addicting!! I make sweet treats all the time and these have quickly become my family's and my favorite. I dare you to try to eat just one.

Ingredients For peanut butter butterscotch bars

  • 1 stick
    unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    old-fashioned oats
  • 11/2 c
    butterscotch chips
  • GLAZE
  • 1/4 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 c
    vanilla almond milk (can use regular milk if desired)
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make peanut butter butterscotch bars

    Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9 x 13 casserole pan preferably with butter.

    In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Mix in vanilla and egg.

    In a medium bowl mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal. Add flour mixture to peanut butter mixture and mix until combined.

    Spread batter into greased pan and sprinkle butterscotch chips over top. Bake at 350° for about 20 to 25 minutes just until edges are brown.

    While the batter is baking combine all ingredients for the glaze into a bowl of a stand mixer and beat until smooth. Pour and spread the waves over the top of the bars while they are still warm. Let cool completely before cutting.
