This cake is a very moist cake. My daughter-in-law loves it and I make it for her on her birthdays. It is a rich and yummy cake and it came from a local cookbook from years ago(Barbara's Top Recipes).

Ingredients For hershey bar pound cake

  • 2 c
    unsalted butter or margarine
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 5 1/2 oz
    hershey syrup
  • 2 1/2 c
    cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    soda
  • 1 c
    buttermilk (i use whole buttermilk)
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 7
    plain hershey bars, melted (1.55oz ea)
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make hershey bar pound cake

    Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. In mixer with paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar on medium high until light and fluffy, approx. 3 minutes.

    Add eggs and syrup, mix until combined.

    Combine flour, salt, and soda and add alternately with the buttermilk.

    Stir in vanilla, melted Hershey bars and pecans. Spoon batter into a well greased and floured tube pan. Bake @ 325 deg. for 60 to 75 min or until cake tests done.
