These pops couldn't be easier to make and they require no baking! I think they turned out super cute. Bubba and the boys did a quality control check for me and said they tasted great. They really liked the chocolate on the outside. They reminded them of a ding dong cake. These would be perfect for a birthday party, football team party and, most of all, tailgating!

Ingredients For football twinkie pops

  • 1 lg
    box hotess twinkies
  • 6-inch cookie sticks
  • 2 pkg
    chocolate almond bark or chocolate candy melts
  • ICING
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How To Make football twinkie pops

  • 1
    Unwrap Twinkies. Melt chocolate according to package directions.

    Dip cookie stick 1/3 of the way into the melted chocolate.

    Push stick into center of the end of the Twinkie.

    Place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining Twinkies. Freeze for 15 minutes.

    Dip the Twinkies into melted chocolate, coating fully.

    Shake off excess and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet.

    Repeat with remaining Twinkies. Freeze for 10 minutes.

    Prepare icing: Mix together powdered sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of milk.

    Add more milk if needed. You want the icing thick enough to pipe on the Twinkies.

    Fill a piping bag with icing and use tip #3 to pipe football laces and tip #104 to pipe stripes.

    Allow icing to set before serving.
