You can make this recipe as cupcakes, also. A one layer cake recipe makes 12 to 15 cupcakes, a two layer cake recipe makes 24 to 30 cupcakes. Fill cups 2/3 full and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes. You can frost cupcakes by dipping top of each cupcake in frosting.

Ingredients For cookies ‘n cream cake

  • 1 pkg. pudding included white cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup coarsely crushed cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies, (oreos, etc.)
  • frosting:
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 egg whites

How To Make cookies ‘n cream cake

    Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 9 or 8 inch round cake pans. In large bowl, mix all cake ingredients except crushed cookies at low speed til moistened; beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Gently stir in crushed cookies. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes til toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove form pans. Cool completely

    In small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar, shortening, vanilla and 2 egg whites; blend well. Beat in remaining powdered sugar til frosting is smooth and creamy. Fill and frost cake. Serves 12
