This recipe goes back to the 50's. My mom made them all the time and was always a favorite. She got the recipe off a Wheaties cereal box.

shortening

brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c

white sugar

eggs

coconut
1/2 tsp

baking soda
1/2 tsp

salt
1/2 tsp

vanilla extract

How To Make wheaties coconut cookies

Preheat oven to 350*

Cream sugars, eggs and shortening together

Add soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla

Add coconut and flour then stir in wheaties

These are drop cookies so drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets Bake approximately 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
