A favorite recipe from my Auntie Florence. How many cups of coffee did we share over a plate of these wonderful "dunkers"?

Ingredients For spice biscotti

3eggs
-
1 csugar
-
1 ccanola or vegetable oil

3-4 cflour

1 tspsoda
-
1 tspcinnamon (scant)

3/4 craisins or dates (soaked and chopped)

1 cwalnuts - finely crushed
How To Make spice biscotti

1Beat the eggs, sugar, and oil together well.

2Combine the flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, 1 cup at a time.

3Drain the raisins/dates and add them, along with the walnuts, to the dough. Mix thoroughly. The dough will be sticky. Oil your hands and make 2 or 3 loaves out of the dough.

4Bake them on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Slice the biscotti while they are warm. If you want them to be extra-crispy, place them on their sides and re-bake them for 5-10 minutes more.
