This is another favorite recipe from close friend, Deb Poulson, who used to make these for my brother as a Christmas present every year. This was ONE of the most used recipes that my mom and niece used to make whenever my niece came to visit "Grammie".

Ingredients For peanut blossom cookies

1 3/4 call purpose flour

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cbutter, softened

1/2 cpeanut butter, creamy

1/2 cwhite sugar
-
1/2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1egg

1 tspvanilla extract
How To Make peanut blossom cookies

1Sift flour, soda, and salt together. Then cream together butter and peanut butter. Gradually add both sugars. Creaming well, add: egg and vanilla. Beat well. Then blend in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a solid milk chocolate candy kiss or star on top, pressing down so cookie cracks. Return to oven and bake 2-5 minutes longer or until golden brown.
