My wifes family's roots go deep in texas and there were several texas ranger's in the family. This recipe has been in the family for years and is said to be a favorite among the Rangers.

sofened butter

salt

flour
1 tsp

vanilla

baking soda

rolled oats

corn flakes

coconut

chopped pecans

semi sweet chocolate chips

cream butter and both sugars together.

add vanilla and eggs

sift flour, add salt, baking soda, and baking powder.

combne dry and creamed ingredients,

add rolled oats and coconut.

finally, add crushed corn flakes, and pecans and chocolate chips. blend well.

grease a cookie sheet. then drop spoonfulls of mixture onto sheet.

bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes.
