Everyone has had chocolate "no-bakes" right? Well, these are peanut butter! They are so good-I make them several times a year to take to work or just to keep in the fridge for us to munch on.

Ingredients For my mom's candy cookies

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, creamy

How To Make my mom's candy cookies

    add sugar, butter, milk and vanilla to a medium saucepan. bring to a boil, and boil for 1 1/2 minutes exactly-stirring constantly.

    remove from heat, add oats and peanut butter. stir until mixture begins to thicken.

    Drop by teaspoons full onto wax paper and allow to set up. enjoy! (I like to keep these on a plate in the fridge with wax paper between the layers and a covering of saran wrap. Somehow they are super good cold!!
