Ingredients For lancaster oatmeal cookies

2 call purpose flour

1 cbrown sugar

1 crolled oats
-
1 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspcinnamon

1/2 cbutter or margarine

1/2 craisins
-
1/2 cwalnuts or black walnuts

1/3 csour cream or plain yogurt

1egg beaten
-
3 Tbspmolasses
-
1 tspbaking soda
How To Make lancaster oatmeal cookies

1Combine flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in the butter until mixture is evenly distributed.

2Chop the raisins and nuts in a food processor or blender.

3Blend the sour cream and egg together. Mix the molasses and baking soda together. Stir into sour cream mixture. Add to the flour mixture and stir into a stiff batter.

4Chill batter in freezer for 15 minutes. Shape dough into walnut-sized balls. Having slightly wet hands makes this easier.

5Place cookies 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with a back of a spoon.

6Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees until they are a rich golden brown.
