What's not to love about these cookies? I mean, you've got oatmeal, chocolate chips, coconut and pecans surrounded by a ton of ooey-gooey goodness.

    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    instant oatmeal
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut

How To Make kitchen sink cookies

    In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla until fluffy and smooth.

    Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mixing well. Fold in oatmeal, chocolate chips, pecans and coconut.

    Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets, about 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
