Ingredients For grandmas sugar cookies

  • 2 1/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make grandmas sugar cookies

    Sift the dry ingredients together.
  • 2
    In a separate bowl, cream together the sugar and shortening. Add the milk, vanilla, and eggs. Mix in with the dry ingredients.

    Roll out the dough with rolling pin about 1/2 an inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter.

    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for about 10 minutes.
