baking soda

shortening
4 c

all purpose flour
3 tsp

cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp

cloves
2 c

sugar

eggs (beaten)

Combine sugar and shortening until smooth, set aside

Combine baking soda, persimmon pulp and eggs, mix well. Add to sugar mix

Mix remaining dry ingredients then add to persimmon mix

Add nuts and raisins

Grease cookie sheet (first time only) space 1 inch apart

Bake at 375 degrees 12-15 minutes
