these are wonderful additions to any cookie tray, gift basket or dried fruit tray. They are so tastee plus they have the added "Keep you regular" advantage, making them a wonderful addition to an older persons basket and a wonderful gift for that diabetic on your list, Sweet but not from processed sugars. Don't forget those hard to feed vegans

Ingredients For dehydrator date-fig balls

  • 1 c
    dried dates
  • 1/2 c
    dried figs
  • 1/2 c
    prunes
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    sunflower seeds
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 c
    shredded coconut

How To Make dehydrator date-fig balls

    In a food processor or food grinder, finely grind dates, figs, prunes and raisins. In a medium bowl, mix ground fruit with nuts and seeds. Stir in lemon juice. Shape into 1/2-1" balls. Roll in coconut. Dry in your dehydrator at 135º for 4 to 6 hours, or until crisp on the outside. Makes about 30 balls.
