These are a twist on traditional Oatmeal cookies.

Ingredients For cinnamon chip, and cherry oatmeal cookies

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 2 1/2 c
    quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1 pkg
    cinnamon chips
  • 1 c
    dried sour cherries, chopped

How To Make cinnamon chip, and cherry oatmeal cookies

    HEAT oven to 350 degrees.

    CREAM butter, brown sugar, and sugar in a bowl until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and pumpkin spice; add to butter mixture, beating well. Stir in oats cinnamon chips and chopped cherries.

    DROP by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

    BAR VARIATION: Spread batter into lightly greased 13x9x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; cut into bars. Yields about 3 dozen bars.
