Chocolate chip cookies, my favorite! But one day I wanted to make them more festive for the holidays. So I came up with this recipe. Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho! (Gobble them up anytime, though!)

Ingredients For chocolate chip peppermint cookies

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    butter (kerrygold is best), softened
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 lg
    eggs, preferable room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    water
  • 2 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2-3/4 c
    walnuts, english, or almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2-3/4 c
    pecans, toasted preferably
  • 5 oz
    andes peppermint crunch chips, or to taste

How To Make chocolate chip peppermint cookies

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Have cookie sheets ready, ungreased.

    In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt. In mixer bowl, combine butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat with mixer until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well till well mixed. Gradually add in the flour mixture till well blended. Next blend in the milk chocolate chips, nuts and peppermint chips.

    Drop by rounded tablespoon onto awaiting baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before removing. Serve with cold glass of milk and smiles.
