Ingredients For chocolate chip butter cookies

1 lb. butter or margarine

powdered sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. vanilla

4 1/2 cups flour

1 pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces, 12 oz
How To Make chocolate chip butter cookies

1Cream together butter and 2 cups powdered sugar. Add salt, vanilla, and flour and mix til blended. Mixture will be stiff.

2Stir in chocolate pieces. Pinch off pieces of dough. Roll into 1 inch balls and flatten with a fork on baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with more powdered sugar while hot. Makes 64
