Ingredients For apple cinnamon cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    sour cream
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 to 3
    apples, chopped
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp
    water

How To Make apple cinnamon cookies

    Preheat oven to 400. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Cream together the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light in color. Add egg and sour cream stir to combine.

    Add remaining ingredients, except apple, and stir until combined. Gently fold in apples.

    Drop the cookie mixture by the tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheet.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are dry.

    Make the glaze: whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Add water until the glaze reaches the desired consistency.

    Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack. Drixxle the glaze over the cookies.
