This delicious cookie recipe came from my Grandmother's recipe box. I entered these cookies into the first annual cookie swap contest with my friends in 2004. Everyone still remembers these cookies as one of their favorites. So GOOD!

Ingredients For alzena’s oatmeal cookies

3/4 cbutter
-
1 csugar
-
1egg, beaten
-
1/4 cmolasses
-
1 1/2 cflour
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1 tspginger
-
1 tspcinnamon

1 cquick oats
-
2/3 craisins
How To Make alzena’s oatmeal cookies

1CREAM TOGETHER 3/4 c butter 1 c sugar 1 egg, beaten 1/4 c molasses

2SIFT TOGETHER 1 1/2 c flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp cinnamon

3COMBINE THE WET AND DRY MIXTURES TOGETHER THEN ADD: 1 c quick oats 2/3 c raisins

4Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a wet fork.

5Bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm. Let cool for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
