I love making these delicious brownies. I make them not only for my family, but for afterwards at Church. They are gobbled up immediately and I get so many compliments. And come on....who doesn't like chocolate?

Ingredients For triple chocolate brownies

  • 2 1/4 c
    sugar, divided
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour, divided
  • 1/2 c
    baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract, divided
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    shortening

How To Make triple chocolate brownies

    Combine 2 cups sugar, 1-1/2 cups flour, cocoa, and salt; add oil, eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes. Then, pour into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

    Beat butter, brown sugar and remaining sugar; add milk and remaining vanilla. Blend in remaining flour until smooth and creamy. Then, fold in 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread mixture over brownies and refrigerate until firm and then cut into squares.

    Melt remaining chocolate chips and shortening in a double boiler; stir until smooth. Then, drizzle over brownies.
