Adapted from a recipe in a magazine these are the fudgiest, richest, most amazing brownies I've ever tasted.

Ingredients For triple chocolate brown butter brownies

  • 10 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    plus 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    white chocolate chips

How To Make triple chocolate brown butter brownies

    Preheat to 325. Line 8X8 pan with foil, grease or cover with cooking spray.

    Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Continue cooking until butter stops foaming and browned bits form at bottom of pan, stirring often. Remove from heat and immediately add sugar, cocoa, 2 tsp water, vanilla, and salt. Stir to blend. Let cool 5 minutes.

    Add eggs to mixture (it will still be hot) one at a time, beating vigorously to blend after each addition. When mixture looks thick and shiny, add flour and stir until blended. Beat vigorously 60 strokes. Let cool 5 minutes more then quickly stir in chips and transfer to pan. Work quickly or the chips will melt.

    Bake brownies for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out almost clean.
