This was my grandma's recipe. We all loved these when we came to visit. One of my downfalls, mint and chocolate

Ingredients For grandma's mint bars

  • 3/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c
    graham crackers, crushed
  • 12 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp
    mint flavoring
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts (i use walnuts)
  • 1 1/2 c
    coconut

How To Make grandma's mint bars

  • 1
    Spray a 9 x 13 pan. Pour melted butter in bottom of pan.

    Spread graham cracker crumbs over butter.
  • 3
    Sprinkle coconut on top of graham cracker crumbs.

    Add chocolate chips on top of coconut.

    Mix mint flavoring in with condensed milk.

    Spread milk over top of chocolate chips.

    Spread nuts on top of milk.
  • 8
    Bake at 350 degrees for approx 30 minutes or until milk is bubbling.

    Cool and cut at room temperature.
