My grandmother on my father's side is one of those sweet old ladies that always has cookies or candies ready for when company comes over. Especially around the holiday times!

Ingredients For grandma d's peanut brittle

1 clight corn syrup

2 csugar
-
1 cwater
-
dashsalt

1 Tbspbutter, melted

2 tspvanilla extract

2 cpeanuts

2 tspbaking soda
How To Make grandma d's peanut brittle

1Cover a cookie sheet with foil and butter the foil. Set aside.

2In 6 quart pot, on medium heat, cook syrup, sugar, water and salt to thread stage (280 degrees).

3Add vanilla and peanuts; stir.

4Add baking soda and turn of heat.

5While stirring, move over to your baking sheet; when you've stirred in the baking soda, pour onto buttered foil.

6Let cool. Break into pieces to eat/store.
