My mom found this recipe in a magazine years ago and it has stuck with us ever since! These truffles are now a staple at any family gathering and my brother-in-law asks for them every birthday! So yummy and ridiculously easy!

Ingredients For easy chocolate truffles

  • 12 oz
    bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz
    can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make easy chocolate truffles

  • 1
Place chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a heat-safe bowl over simmering water (or a double boiler if you have one). Melt, stirring often.
  • 2
When the chocolate mixture is melted, remove from heat and stir in 1 tsp. vanilla.
  • 3
Chill in fridge 1-2 hours or until mixture is firm enough to roll into balls.
  • 4
Roll tablespoon sized truffles(I like to use a melon-ball scoop for convenience). If you use your hands to roll the balls, it works better to wet your hands slightly.
  • 5
Roll each ball in desired topping. I've used powdered sugar, sprinkles, cocoa powder, melted white chocolate, nuts, etc.
  • 6
    Refrigerate and enjoy!
