Sounds odd but tastes good! Nice with cream cheese frosting

Ingredients For tomato soup cake

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    clove, ground
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 can
    condensed tomato soup
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 c
    raisins

How To Make tomato soup cake

    Sift dry ingredients three times. (okay, I cheat and just sift it once)

    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add in the dry ingedients and the tomato soup alternately in small amounts, beating after each addition.

    Fold in the raisins and nuts.

    Pour into a greased tube or a couple loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
