Some days your in a hurry and don't have time to bake from scratch, but want to take something fresh to a pot luck. heres what to do ladies, get a box of lemon cake mix and follow the recipe as follow on the box except when it calls for the water , add lemon ade instead, this will spice up the cake and you can use real whipping cream to top it off and sprinkle some grated lemom or lime peel on the top. This is a cool and refreshing desert.

Ingredients For tangy lemon cake

  • 1 box
    lemon cake mix
  • 1 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3 lg
    eggs

How To Make tangy lemon cake

    In a large mixing bowl pour cake mix in, add eggs, oil, and lemon juice, mix on low speed, gradually increase speed until fluffy.

    spray two 8 inch round pans with cooking spray, add cake mixture into pans evenly, pop into pre- heated oven at 350f. bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Take out and cool for about an hour.

    turn over on to cake platter, top off with whipped cream icing and lemom/lime shavings.
