My family and friends love this cake .Most shortcakes use a biscuit I use cake.I came up with my version some years ago and its a hit at ALL family functions.Really hope you try it and enjoy.

Ingredients For strawberry shortcake

one box cake mix(white).,strawberry glaze,strawberries(2cups fresh or frozen),cool whip.
How To Make strawberry shortcake

1Make cake according to diredtions bake in a sheet cake pan let cool completely.In meantime prepare strawberries(if fresh wash)place berries in small sauce pan on low heat add atsp sugar to release juices.

2Let cool,then mix berries with glaze.Cut cake in half(the short way)place first half in a dish with high sides(I use aluminum baking pans)layer with glaze & berries then with cool whip,repeat with the second half ,strawberries and glaze top with cool whip.
