This is a funny recipe. I found it in an old cookbook my mom gave me when I had my son. The book is called Feed Me I'm Yours by Vicki Lansky.

Light oven. Get out mixing bowl, spoons and ingredients. Grease pan. Crack nuts. Remove 18 blocks and 7 toy autos from kitchen table. Measure 2 cups of flour. Remove son's hands from flour. Wash flour off. Measure one more cup flour to replace flour on floor. Put flour, baking powder and salt in sifter. Get broom and dust pan to sweep up pieces of bowl son knocked on floor. Get another bowl. Answer phone. Return. Take out greased pan. Remove pinch of salt from pan. Look for missing son. Get out another pan and grease it. Answer phone. Return to kitchen find missing son. Remove grimy hands from bowl. Wash off shorting. Take out greased pan and find 1/4 inch of nut shells in it. Head for son who flees giggling wildly and knocks bowl off table. Sweep up bowl pieces, wash floor, wash table, wash walls, wash dishes, wash batter coated son. Call bakery. Lie down.
