Found this recipe in an old "Grit" magazine. This is a new dessert for my family on holidays.

Ingredients For hillbilly cake

1 1/2 c

sugar

eggs
1/2 c

melted butter
2 c

flour
2 tsp

soda
1/2 tsp

salt
1 can

(20 oz.) crushed pineapple

How To Make hillbilly cake

Mix above ingredients and pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Top with 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup chopped walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
