I'm making Kahlua this year so this is a good recipe to try it out. It calls for Kahlua frosting I'll put it on the next recipe.

3/4 cbutter softened

2 1/4 csugar

21-ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate(meltp

1/3 ckahlua

2 1/4 ccake flour(sifted)

1 tspcream of tatar

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

3/4 cmilk
-
3/4 chazelenuts or pecans, toasted and divided
How To Make chocolate kahlua cake

1Beat butter at medium speed with mixer; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add chocolate and Kahlua; beat until well blended.

2Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.

3Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cakepans. Bake at 350 for 18 to 23 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean. Cool in pans completely on wire racks.

4Stir 1/2 cup nuts into 1 cup Chocolate Kahlua Frosting; spread between layers. Spread remaining frosting on top and sides. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cups of nuts on top.
