Ingredients For apple cheese coffee cake

  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter ( or margarine ) melted
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    chopped tart cooking apple
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    butter ( or margarine ) melted

How To Make apple cheese coffee cake

    Heat oven to 375 F. In a small mixing bowl combine all coffee cake ingredients EXCEPT cheese and apple. Beat at low speed scraping bowl often, until well mixed ( 1 to 2 minutes )

    By hand, stir in cheese and apple. Spread into greased 9 inch square baking pan or dish.

    In a small bowl combine 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly; sprinkle over coffee cake batter.

    Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
