Adapted from the The Allergy Self Help Cookbook by Marjorie Hurt Jones, RN. Changes include types of flour used and substitution of milk kefir for milk. A nice filling pancake recipe that will satisfy any appetite.

Ingredients For gluten free whole grain pancakes

  • 1/2 c
    teff flour
  • 1/2 c
    buckwheat flour
  • 1/2 c
    bob's red mill 1 to 1 all purpose gluten free flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    whole milk kefir
  • 3 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp
    maple syrup

How To Make gluten free whole grain pancakes

    Preheat nonstick skillet or griddle.
  • 2
    Mix dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • 3
    In a 2 cup measure, mix wet ingredients.
  • 4
    Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Do not beat or overmix.
  • 5
    Drop onto preheated skillet and cook.
