My mom made this so many times for a Saturday morning coffee with the neighbor ladies. You can't beat this moist easy to make coffee cake.

Ingredients For delicious coffee cake

  • TOPPING
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    nuts
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • CAKE BATTER
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 pkg
    instant butterscotch pudding, small package
  • 1 pkg
    instant vanilla pudding, small package
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4
    eggs

How To Make delicious coffee cake

    Combine Topping ingredients and set aside.
  • 2
    Combine all the ingredients for the batter. As long as it is mixed well there is no right or wrong way to do this.

    In a greased 9x13 pan spread half the batter. Then sprinkle half the topping. Repeat. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. between 35 and 45 min. Very good served warm or room temperature.
