aunt gina's french toast

My Aunt Gina makes the best French toast! Not only are they very good, but they are easy peasy. Best made with thicker bread, like Texas Toast. These are flavorful enough that they taste great even without syrup. We usually just butter them and sometimes add a sprinkling of powdered sugar. Double or triple ingredients as desired.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

French toast is an easy and yummy breakfast and we loved the twist in this recipe. Adding honey to the butter when frying the French toast makes it sticky and sweet at the same time. We liked it alone, but drizzling a little syrup and dusting with powdered sugar was even better. The perfect French toast for the weekend or a special occasion.
