There are probably a kazillion banana nut bread recipes on here, but I just can't refrain from posting my favorite recipe any longer! I've had this recipe for years - not sure of its origins, but it's never failed me!

Ingredients For banana nut bread

  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 4
    mashed bananas, the riper they are, the better the bread will be
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    chopped nuts (i prefer pecans)

How To Make banana nut bread

    Preheat oven to 325. Grease two small loaf pans.

    Beat together eggs and sugar. Add oil and bananas and combine well.

    In separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda and nuts. Add to wet mixture.

    Divide mixture between the two loaf pans. Bake for about 1 hour.

    Remove from pans and cool on rack.
