This is a recipe that my grandma made when we were kids, then my mom and I made them and now we make them for Sunday breakfast quite often. I also make them every time my daugter has friends sleep over. It's always a request of her friends. They are easy and delicious.

Ingredients For french breakfast puffs

  • MIX THOROUGHLY
  • 1/3 c
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • SIFT TOGETHER
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • STIR INTO EGG MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH 1 CUP OF MILK

How To Make french breakfast puffs

    Fill 12 greased muffin tins 2/3 full.

    Bake until golden brown at 350 degrees. About 20-25 minutes.

    Immediately roll in 1/2 cup melted BUTTER Then in mixture of 2/3 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
